On Monday 31st March, the Ivanhoe Saints Cricket Club celebrated a fantastic night at the Northern Metro Cricket Association Presentation Night, where the club’s juniors were recognised for their outstanding achievements throughout the season. The event was a memorable one, showcasing the hard work and dedication of our young cricketers.
A highlight of the evening was the recognition of our five U12 players who represented the NMCA at the Representative Carnival in January. These players received their well-deserved medals for their contributions throughout the carnival, showcasing their talent and dedication.
Adding to the excitement, the U12 White team was presented with their Wayne Hicks Shield, a moment of great pride for the entire team. This prestigious shield recognised the team’s hard-fought victory in the NMCA competition, and it was a testament to their skill, teamwork, and commitment throughout the season.
It wasn’t just the teams that shone on the night; individual players were also honoured for their performances. Charlie Clarke received the U12 Div 1 League Batting Award, recognising his consistent and impressive performances with the bat throughout the season. To top it off, Charlie was named Champion Player of the Season, accumulating an outstanding 400 points- testament to his all-round abilities on the field this season.
David Barr was celebrated for his exceptional season, receiving the U12 Div 1 League Bowling Award for his brilliant bowling performances. His outstanding skill and consistency played a key role in his team’s success, making this award a fitting recognition of his awesome efforts.
These fantastic individual and team achievements highlight the continued success of the Ivanhoe Saints junior program, and we couldn’t be prouder of all the players involved. The night was a true celebration of their hard work, determination, and passion for cricket.
A huge congratulations to all the players and teams recognised at the NMCA Presentation Night, and we look forward to more success and achievements in the future!
